Chapter Thirteen

Dotty the wise old Waterfall Troll

When Ralphy and Timbo arrived at Dotty's waterfall, they first concealed the The Friendly Troll Book of Secrets, wrapped in a spotted tablecloth behind a big rock covered in a thick carpet of green moss.   They then called for Dotty to see if they could enter her lodging.  Dotty turned on her trollevision to see who was calling her name.  "Not those two" she said to herself and then said out loud, to the other person who was with her "please hide in the bedroom until I get rid of these two wasters", she knew Ralphy and Timbo all too well.   When the other person had gone, she called "come in" to Ralphy and Timbo.

"Would you like a coffee" she asked "no thanks, not for now" said Ralphy speaking for both of them and thinking to himself, that was a bit polite.  Ralphy also though it was a bit bright in the lodging but said nothing.  "How can I help you then?" said Dotty, "well" said Ralphy, "if you had, say, The Friendly Troll Book of Secrets, how would you open it?". "I do not know how I would open it" said Dotty, "there are only two copies of The Friendly Troll Book of Secrets and I do not have one to see if a can open it".

"We do" blurted out Timbo, Ralphy gave out a long sigh and then said sternly to Timbo, "I said let me do all the talking, now keep quiet", but of course it was too late for that.

Dotty looked very surprised and said "and where did you two come across a copy of The Friendly Troll Book of Secrets, there are only the two, so it must be the one belonging to Terry the friendly Troll". "Why would you think that" said Ralphy, "it might not be the one belonging to Terry the friendly Troll, it could be the other one".

"No it couldn't" said a voice from the Bedroom.

Ralphy and Timbo looked around startled, "who said that" they said together and then looked back to the exit, thinking of getting out fast. Dotty was between them and the exit though, then the bedroom door opened and another older troll came through into the room.

"Who are you" said Ralphy, edging further towards the exit, "Nobody said the older troll", "you must be someone" said Timbo, unable to keep quiet anymore.

"I am Dotty's friend, Nobody" said Nobody "Nobody the Friendly Troll the keeper of the other Friendly Troll Book of Secrets".

By now Ralphy and Timbo were shocked but still edging slowly but surely towards the way out, only Dotty stood in there way and she would not be able to hold them.
