Chapter Seven

Waterfall Troll Lunch

Timbo woke and made himself a coffee before banging on the bedroom door to wake Ralphy.  Ralphy shouted, "stop that banging, who is it what do you want", "it's me Timbo, wake up, we have stuff to be getting on with".   Ralphy appeared rubbing his eyes saw Timbo drinking coffee and asked if Timbo had made a cup of coffee for him, "no", was the reply, "make your own".  "Thanks for nothing" said Ralphy, made a cup of coffee himself and sat at the table with Timbo.

Ralphy said "I have been thinking", Timbo remarked "I bet that hurt", "very funny" replied Ralphy.  Ralphy went on, "Gnomes are very strong, we could take the book to Harry the Forest Gnome to see if he can open it".  Timbo suggested "we could also take it to Dotty the wise old Waterfall Troll" but the trouble with that plan was, she might want the secrets for herself.

They thought of other plans but as they were not very bright trolls, none of their ideas were any good and some a bit ridiculous. One involved making contact with humans in the village of Easterford but that could only come to no good. So they decided to take the book to Dotty but first, they would visit the forest and pop in to see Harry the Forest Gnome, just in case.

Suddenly Ralphy shouted, "cat, fish" and almost immediately Ralphy’s Catfish appeared with a large fish, which they fried in an even larger pan and had it for lunch, before setting off for the forest with The Friendly Troll Book of Secrets.

They had The Friendly Troll Book of Secrets wrapped in a large but damp spotty tablecloth, with a damp leather belt fastened round it, so they could carry it between them.  This served two purposes, it made it easier to carry and they could both make sure that the other one didn't try to take the book for themself.
